DAY 1

Wine tasting program, lunch and visit to the Murfatlar vineyard – these wineries, with total capacity of processing and storage over 350.000 hl wine/year, are famous thanks to the joining of the valuable grape varieties: Riesling, Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Neagra, Muscat Ottonel, Babeasca, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot with the modern equipment and technology, plus the professionalism of the specialists.

In the afternoon, wine tasting program at Niculitel vineyard – one of the pearls of the Romanian wines where the climate is a factor determining the successful vine growing and high quality of the noble wines in this region. You will taste different dry, semi dry and semi-sweet wines.

DAY 2

Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant in Tulcea. Visit the Independence Monument in Tulcea. Transfer to Odobesti vineyard, via Galati, Tecuci. Wine tasting at Odobesti vineyard, followed by lunch in Rest. Berthelot Marasesti.

Continue to Panciu vineyard this is the place in Romania where the wine is processed after Champagne method. Wine tasting at Panciu vineyard . It is the first vineyard in Romania – since the 17 th century. Its royal vinery hosts one of the biggest vinacoteques in Romania.

Late in the afternoon, transfer to Bacau city. Visit Precista Church, St Nicholas orthodox church in Bacau Lodging at Hotel Dumbrava ****

DAY 3

Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant in Bacau.

Transfer to Cotnari for wine tasting and lunch at Cotnari vineyard. It is famous for its high quality wine, confirmed by numerous medals. According to the legend, the first vine stocks of this vineyard were planted in the 15th century by the Moldavian Ruler Stephen the Great. One can taste in this region the following sorts of wine: Grasa de Cotnari, Catalina – Voievodal, Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Francusa, Feteasca Alba

Transfer to Piatra Neamt – a touristic town in the valley of Bistrita river, one of the most picturesque areas of Romanian Sub-Carpathian hills. Lodging at Hotel Central Plaza **** in Piatra Neamt .

Gorges of Bicaz, The Red Lake

DAY 4

Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant in Piatra Neamt . Cross the Eastern Carpathians Mountains into Transylvania through the spectacular Gorges of Bicaz

Stop on the way for the lunch at The Red Lake – a beautiful touristic resort nearby the only natural dam lake, molded because of a mountain fall in the 19th century .

Continue towards Sibiu. Spend in the evening time for exploring the mediaeval old city center of Sibiu. Accommodation Hotel Ibis *** in Sibiu..

Bran Castle, Counselors’ Square, the Black Church and Museum of the First Printing in Schei neighborhood.

DAY 5

Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant in Sibiu.

Drive to Bran and visit the famous Bran Castle, often associated by the tourists with Count Dracula’s fictional character. Continue to Brasov and explore the splendid old city center, with the Counselors’ Square, the Black Church and Museum of the First Printing in Schei neighborhood.

Late in the afternoon, drive for wine tasting and, optional, dinner at Rheinwein Azuga. It is a good opportunity to taste Romanian sparkling wines, the specialty of this place. Drive to Sinaia in the evening. Accommodation at hotel Rina Sinaia ***

Carpathians Mountains Plateau and Peles Palace in Sinaia

DAY 6

Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant in Sinaia. In the morning, take the cable car to see the Carpathians Mountains Plateau and then visit Peles Palace in Sinaia. Lunch near the Palace.

Drive to Urlati for a wine tasting at Conacul Urlateanu vineyard in the afternoon.

Transfer to Otopeni Airport, to arrive there before 6 p.m. End of the tour.
