On the island, the Romanian ruler prince Vlad the Impaler, more known after his nickname – Dracula, built a jail with torture chambers where the prisoners were killed and then thrown into the lake. Here it is supposed to be also the tomb of this cruel prince, even though the archaeologists discovered it empty.
